Fall

Fall 2010- Can you believe it is November? I can't!!! The weather has been fantastic. I thought I was ready for it to get colder, but the closer we get, the more I change my mind!

So, as usual Weston shares his snacks with Boone. Recently Weston discovered that he can open the pantry and get a snack all by himself.

We took Weston to the pumpkin patch. He really didn't want to pose for a picture and yes- he is carrying around an empty bottle of allergy medicine.

Halloween: Lets just say that Weston was not a fan of dressing up this year. He had a puppy costume on, but he would not keep it on. Maybe I can get a better post-Halloween picture???

And like always he is busy busy playing.

Weston 14 Months

BUSY BUSY BUSY (I should have made that the title for this post)...

Weston is so full of life! I look at him and I am amazed at how quickly he is growing up. He looks like a little boy now. He is walking/running everywhere.

His favorite things are playing outside, playing (teasing) Boone, playing with doors, eating cheese and fruit, and playing with Tyler's iphone. Did I mention that he LOVES being outside. When we get him up in the morning the first thing he says is "outside". A few weeks ago we bought a playhouse for the backyard so he could play with the doors and windows. He also likes to slam the back door and yell "shut".Boone and Weston are best friends. Weston gets so mad at Boone when he doesn't want to play or when he ignores him. W loves to take the bone and run away so the dog will chase him. It is so cute and Boone is so gentle with him.

And what about Tyler & myself...
Tyler is really busy with work, which is great! They have wrapped up the hotel and he is currently working on a few other projects. I will post more details later. Thankfully they have stayed busy and are continuing to grow their business.

Me: Last weekend I went to Fort Worth with my Mom & Sisters. We had a girls weekend & had a great time hanging out. I'll post pics (if/when I get them from Diane :). I have a whole list of hobbies I would like to start, but I haven't yet and my list seems to just get longer... However, one of the things on my list is to update this blog more often. So lets see how I do....

Weston's 1st Birthday!

Weston's Birthday party was really fun! He was such a good sport! The theme for his party was monkey/jungle. I didn't go over board with the decorations because I didn't want to scare him.

He really didn't appreciate the cake part of the party. Well, I am partially to blame for that. I tried to put the "ceremonial" birthday hat on him and he immediately took it off. I didn't realize that "Da da" had already taken a picture, so I tried to put it back on him...not a good idea.

So, when he finally got to the cake he was not very happy. However, it was funny! He put one finger in the cake, started crying, licked his finger, stopped crying, then repeated the whole process a few times. Oh and did I mention that the icing on his cake was green and blue. My original thought was that if I was going for it with the 1st cake, I might as well go all out and go green and blue. Yeah- words of wisdom for other Moms who haven't had this fun experience yet...go for white!

So Many 1st

WoW! It is amazing how many "1st" there are in 1 year. My sweet baby will be a year old tomorrow. He is getting so big!

First bath without the baby tub...he loved it. He thinks bath time is a lot of fun now. He especially likes to pull the stopper out of the drain. He loves the noise that it makes when the water drains out. Plus he loves anything that he can open & close, turn on or off, or pull apart. Is that a boy thing or what???

Weston also got his 1st haircut. His hair was getting in his eyes and the back was getting a little bit too long. He was sooo good. Tyler started off holding him, but half way through we had to switch places.

4th of July

I must admit that this 4th of July felt very strange. It just didn't seem right with all of the rain. The park by our house is now a lake. It is actually kind of amusing! I have seen people swimming in it and floating around on blow up rafts. I have no desire to swim in the "park". All I can think about is what they must be swimming in: dog poop, duck poop, mud, trash, fish poop, dirt, dog pee, etc. You cannot see the parking lot of the pool, it is completely underwater.

So we obviously were not outside too much this weekend. Weston is learning how to walk and it wears him out. He took a nap in his crib and then promptly went back to sleep after I picked him up. Sweet boy!

Weston's Photos @ 7 Months

These Photos were taken when Weston was 7 months old. Can you believe how big he is now? I am obviously a little behind on updating my blog...we have been a little busy!

In one weekend, Weston started crawling, pulling up, trying to walk, and feeding himself little puffs (cereal bites). So many milestones in such a short period of time, it was amazing! I have a feeling that this probably won't be the last time we have a weekend like this. I think this is a preview of what is to come, and frankly I am a little nervous!

Bath Time

Weston loves bath time! He kicks his legs and splashes like crazy. He wiggles around so much and ends up sideways every time. He is almost too big for his little bathtub so we need to get him a bigger one.
